Hello! This page answers some of the most common questions I am usually asked about booking, availability, setup, and live vocals for weddings and events. If you are unable to find the information you need, please feel free to get in touch via my Enquiries page to discuss your event in more detail!
A: I am based in Wiltshire, and regularly perform across the surrounding counties, including Bath, Somerset, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and the South West. Travel further afield can also be arranged! I hold a full driving licence, and love to explore new venues, and travel for special occasions. Please note that venues over 10 miles away will be charged a 40pence per mile fee to assist with my travel costings. Destination events or events running over multiple days will be charged a small fee towards travel and possible lodgings if need be. This can be discussed in more detail once an enquiry has been made!
A: Popular dates, particularly in Spring and Summer, should be booked well in advance if possible. I recommend getting in touch as soon as your occasion date and venue are confirmed to check availability, and avoid disappointment! My minimum notice policy for an event is 3 weeks.
A: Yes. I provide professional sound equipment suitable for most wedding and event venues. This allows me to control sound levels and ensure clear, high-quality audio appropriate for your space. I have a wireless speaker / sound system that allows me to perform in diverse venues- outdoors and indoors! My microphones are high quality and I use a laptop/ iPad for my backing tracks, which connects to my PA system.
A: I typically require a small performance area and access to a standard power socket for an extension cable if need be. Exact space requirements can be confirmed once your venue is known. I can liaise with your venue to agree on performance locations throughout your event day!
A: Yes, of course! I am happy to discuss your preferences and include specific song requests to give your day a personal feel, particularly for key moments such as ceremony entrances or first dances. These are my favourite requests, and there is never a song I won't give a try for you!
A: Yes! Learning a special song/s can be arranged with sufficient notice prior to your event. Some songs may need to be altered regarding timings, and the backing track will usually be replaced by an acoustic/ piano backing to fit the brief! Please note that some songs may not be suitable for live performance or may require additional preparation time.
A: Of course! I am available to provide live vocals for multiple parts of your day, including ceremonies, drinks receptions, wedding breakfasts, and evening celebrations. This can be arranged as part of a combined or bespoke package. Please see my 'Packages' section to find out more. Or, drop me an email via my enquiry form and we can confirm which package is right for you. I also offer bespoke packages to suit!
A: In the very unlikely event that I am unable to perform due to illness or emergency, I will make every effort to arrange a suitable replacement of similar standard, where possible. If a replacement is not found, a full refund will be issued.
A: Yes. I always require access before guests arrive, to allow time for setup and the all important sound checks! Specific access times can be agreed in advance with you and your venue. After our first planning call, I will contact your wedding/ events planner, and the venue to arrange access. I usually allow 45 minutes to set up. My set up fee is included in all packages- so there is no hidden cost for this!
A: Yes, I can! Outdoor ceremonies can be beautiful no matter the weather! This is also provided there is suitable shelter for equipment and access to a power supply if needed ( I will usually use my wireless system). Outdoor performances are also subject to conditions and venue arrangements.
A: Performance times will vary depending on the package booked. This will be clearly agreed in advance and confirmed in writing as part of your booking. Usually, a drinks reception set will last for 2x sets of 45 minutes. My wedding breakfast set can also last for 45 minutes- or longer/ shorter if you wish! It is all about your preference.
A: Yes. I can provide background music playlists between live sets to help maintain atmosphere, subject to your preferences and venue requirements. This will be played through my PA system. We can go through a list of background songs together for a curated playlist in between my vocals if you so wish!
A: Yes, please. A 20% holding deposit is required to secure me for your booking date, with the remainder of the balance payable after the event. (To be paid after 14 days maximum.) Full payment terms will be provided again at the time of booking! Thank you.
A: Yes, I am. I hold full public liability insurance, which can be provided to your venue on request! I also hold a full enhanced DBS certificate.
A: Yes - as mentioned, I am more than happy to liaise directly with venues, planners and coordinators to ensure timings and arrangements run smoothly for you. The aim is to make your day worry free and as enjoyable as possible!
A: In some cases, I may be able to provide a microphone for speeches, depending on equipment setup and venue requirements. This can be discussed in advance, but we can liaise regarding this on your booking call, so that I have the necessary equipment with me on the day for the all important speeches!
A: Your date is secured in full, once availability is confirmed via email and/ or video call- and once the 20% holding deposit has been received. I will also send you an email confirmation once you have officially booked me. I hope to be booked with you soon!
A: Yes, I am! I hold a full First Class Honours degree in Music Industry Practice - Vocal Performance Specialism. This was awarded by The Academy of Contemporary Music in London.
