Welcome to this month's blog here at LouisaKateSings!
We will be discussing the topic of 'When Should You Book your Wedding Singer?'
Booking your wedding singer early is advisable, particularly for popular dates in Spring and Summer. Many professional suppliers are booked 12 to 18 months in advance. I ask for a minimum of 3 weeks notice at the very latest, in order to prepare and collate your perfect set list, with all speciality songs included for my clients' special day.
As a general guide, once your venue and ceremony time are confirmed, it is sensible to start contacting us singers and musicians! This ensures availability and allows time to discuss song choices and logistics, via unlimited calls leading up to the main event.
If you are planning to use live music for multiple parts of the day, such as the ceremony, drinks reception and or wedding breakfast, booking early provides increased flexibility in structuring timings- and making sure everything runs seamlessly between your vocalist and venue.
As mentioned, late bookings can sometimes be accommodated, but choice may be limited regarding set lists and travel costs. Early booking also allows for a more relaxed planning process and avoids last-minute stress for you as a couple! Our aim is to make your day worry free- so don't delay, and please do send your enquiries in as soon as you can!
